既存の建築に新たに、斜めの壁と屋根という２つの面を付加することで、主たるオフィス空間に快適な環境をもたらし、ふんわりとした心地よい中間領域を生み出している。空間の床面積や気積としては増しているにもかかわらず、完成した建築は街並みに対して余白を与え、爽快な抜け感と青空を提供していることにも好感を持つ。新旧の共存という点では、既存と新築の関係性によるコントラストを残すことでさらにデザインの強度が増したのではないかという印象を受けた。三角に切り取られた空間は、「引く」という手法によって、街にやさしくでもしっかりと主張する建築となっている点が興味深く評価のポイントになった。

This office creates a relaxing and comfortable intermediate space by adding two aspects, a diagonal wall and roof, to the existing building to create a cozy environment in the main office space. Although the floor area and air volume of the space have increased, the completed building gives the street a margin. It also gives a good impression by offering a refreshing gap and blue sky. In terms of the co-existence of old and new designs, the strength of design was further increased by maintaining the contrast of the relationship of the existing and new designs. The space that was clipped out in a triangular shape is softly yet certainly showing off the office to the city by the "subtraction" method, which is quite interesting.
